ZAMBIA 2011. TUESDAY 6/21/2011

It is 6:45 pm in Joberg, South Africa. We just checked into the hotel for the night. There is a Caraba like restaurant within walking distance that we will be eating at for dinner. I bet none of you can guess who is excited about eating tonight!
It was sort of an eventfull travel so far. First our flight was cancellrd to Chicago do to thunder storms so we rented 2 vans and drove to Ohara airport. Rick and Harv were the designated drivers as delegated by our team leader Kris Dekker. 6 out of the 8 made the flight to Dulles. Rick and Harv didn’t. We Had to patiently stand in line at the United ticket counter for 2 hours to rebook another flight to Dulles to get back to the team. The next flight was over booked but somehow we got on the flight, I think somone was watching out for us.
Tomorrow we will get up at 6 and fly out to Livingstone, Zambia. After we arrive in livingstone, we have a 3 hour ride tor Choma. But the hardest part of travel is done and e are looking forward to seeing our friends at World Hope.

Hey, could you guys please be on the look-out for the part of my heart that I seem to have left there!? I really wish that I could be there with you all, but my prayers are with each and every one of you. Hey Harv…..who are you going to pick on without Penelope there!?

So glad to hear everyone arrived safe and sound with the exception the GR/Chicago situation … but that is water under the bridge so let the games begin :) It nice to know as I am typing this you will have another 3 hours of sleep before heading out! The Girls are doing good … been eating right on schedule so far … they treted the lake today so I am being a big meany for not letting them in the water … plus then they are soaking wet … its no fun having to be responsible! Big storm here today … 5 inches of rain, tornadoes, hail, etc … but Gail and I are holding the fort down! I know these are suppose to be short comments but so much so say … so little space – haha. I know these aren’t suppose to be personal messages but really wonder how my Daver did on the long flight … hopefully all went well for you. Have a fabulous day tomorrow on your first full day :) I miss you all – and especially my Davy.

PS – it you get this message twice its a computer glitch … said I didn’t have my email address (I did) and then I couldn’t find my message again …

I’ll be praying for your trip to Choma. Kris, if you happen to see ‘Preacher Boy” coming down the tracks, say hello from the gang.
