A LOT DONE, A LOT TO GO

Haiti TeamWe went back in to “soccer city” today. Our medical team saw over 130 people again. They did an incredible job on a very warm day!

The rest of the team played “London Bridge is Falling Down”, bucket ball, tag and all kinds other games with over 250 children. Then they were taught how to let their light shine for Jesus. They loved the crayons and the pictures we brought for them to color.

We pulled out for the evening crying. Before we left we prayed over the “city” for God’s provision and protection. It was difficult to leave when they have nothing. We met John who took us to his tent. It was about 12′ x 12′ and there were 10 people living in there.

As I said, there is so far to go. I’m glad and proud that Daybreak has many more teams lined up to come down here. It is much needed!

We miss you all and need your prayers and read your comments every day.

You guys are doing such an amazing job reaching out to the people of Haiti. I am sure the days are long and challenging. Hang in there! Those children love you and appreciate any time you can spend with them. When the children need a happy memory, they will have the lessons, songs, games, and prayers from you to hold on to.

We miss you lots Joe and Bubbub tells me now that his daddy is the BEST and he is in Haiti helping people. Aiden collected some worms and won’t let his “snakes” out of his sight. (in the house) We are going to the airport today to pick up Ash. Hopefully she is on the plane! LOL

Hugs and kisses and love you lots Joe! Heather and Buddy

    Matt. 5:14
You are the light of the world- like a city on a moutain, glowing in the night for all to see. Don’t hide your light under a basket! Instead, put it on a stand for all to see. In the same way, let your good deeds shine out, so that everyone will praise our heavenly Father.

Guys, God will give you the strength to finish up strong. We are praying for you and the Haitian people.

    John 14:12

You guys are truly letting your light shine for Jesus! You probably will never know how many lives you have
touched and how much encouragement you have brought. You are an incredible group of Christ followers.

We are so proud of you guys! It can be very emotionally and physically draining there. Keep on smiling and loving on those kids. They will remember your being there and your love. From one of your pictures we see that you are staying in the house on the big hill. Hope that you have the same cooks as we did. They really know how to serve up incredible food! Hope that Shadow is not keeping you up all night barking and chasing after “whatever moves in the dark.” One of my best memories of our trip was waking up each morning to the sound of hymns coming from the tent city right outside the compound wall. Your notes didn’t say anything about the ride through the city. Are you enjoying a daily tap tap ride, or have they gotten you else? At any rate, the daily commute is an interesting one for sure. We will pray that you have a safe stay and a safe trip home. God bless you.
