HAITI DAY 2- WESLEYAN CHURCH CITY SOLEI

Thanks for everyone’s comments and keep them coming! What an awesome day we had with about 100 loving kids at the Wesleyan Church/School site. If we had a dollar for every smile the kids and our team generated today we would all be rich! We had a riot playing soccer, coloring, song singing, jump rope, bubble blower machine was a hit, and just making them feel special. I think they touched our hearts more than theirs!! Also we spent a lot of energy knocking down cement walls with sledge hammers (see pic of Jon). We moved a lot of church benches and iron beams off the demolished 2nd floor. So much manual demotion now needs to take place to clear the way for the rebuild. We bought more tools today that we’ll use tomorrow at the same site. So much needs to be done but one cement block and a child’s smile at a time. God bless everyone back home for supporting us! May Haiti Team

I love the visual of all the children’s smiles you got today! Wow! You are blessing that country, as you said, one child and one cement block at a time. Bless you. I praise God for you and the work you are doing. Stay safe.

I have been thinking about you throughout the day – what you may be doing, seeing, experiencing. I am so glad you all were able to go to not only see the devastation, but also experience the people of Haiti. I know you are giving them hope and showing them the face of Jesus, but I’m sure you see that they are doing that very thing to you. Keep up the good work!!
