THE DOCTOR IS IN
We spent the day back in “soccer city”. Our team saw over 150 patients. Becky did an incredible job! She saw patients at the clinic from 8:30 am to 4 pm with a short lunch break. The clinic is in a tent where it is very warm. The consenus is that many are suffering from post traumatic stress. We had an aftershock this morning and it really had a big impact on some of the Haitians that work for World Hope.
Our time with the children was awesome! Billy Bass the singing fish did a great job. We ministered to over 200 children and Sue did a good job teaching the children.
There is still a huge need here. Many families are without food and many relief agencies have left Haiti. Many go days without a meal.

On the road heading back to ’soccer city”. Patients are already waiting. Today Sue will teach the children how to be fishers of men. We will show off Tom’s talking bass, “Billy Bass” and eat goldfish crackers. We are again working with a medical team from Houghton, NY. They are an incredible group of hard working men. Aaron Eastlach will also be joining us. He’s a teacher from Charleston, SC and son of Carl Eastlach, president of World Hope International. More tonight! Thanks for your prayers and comments it gives much strength and courage!
We arrived in Miami at 1am this morning at our hotel and then were back up at 4am to catch our flight to Haiti. Right after we cleared customs we went direct to a tent city of 7000 on a former soccer field.
We are on our way. This afternoon we drove to Detroit and we will catch a 5pm flight to New York, from NY we go to Miami and stay overnight. At 6:40am tomorrow we fly to Haiti. We appreciate your prayers and your comments. We will read them daily. Our team is made up of Dr. Becky VanValkenburg, Joe Weisenburger, Tom Meyer & Kyle & Sue Clausen.
